Review: Estee Lauder Double Wear All-Day Glow BB

29 April 2014

This is Estee Lauders latest addition to the double wear line. Now put all your previous misconceptions of the double wear foundations aside as this is for the most part very different.

This lightweight offering brings more coverage than your average BB cream, it's definitely more like a lightweight foundation, but it still has the staying power that you have come to expect from the double wear line.

This product is oil free, fragrance free and non acnegenic, so it's a good one for those who are blemish prone but it is my no means a mattifying product. This product still manages to give a subtle glow that you would expect from a BB cream.

It really is a good all rounder. Add in SPF 30 and a great range of shades (I have intensity 1.0 -the lightest, which is slightly pink toned) and you've found your perfect summer base. I'd advise trying to get to an Estee Lauder counter to find your perfect shade. If you're rather pale like me and struggle with BB creams coming out too orange/dark then this one is for you.

I apply this with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and it applies beautifully. It gives a slightly glowy, dewy finish but definitely don't be put off by this if you have blemish prone skin as it covers minor blemishes and perfects and evens skin-tone.
